Lakeith "Keith" Stanfeild, whose recent film credits include Selma and Dope, is among a trio who has signed on for Donald Glover's FX comedy pilot, Atlanta.

As we previously reported, the pilot is expected to shoot at the end of this month. And per the network, the project centers on two cousins trying to work their way up the Atlanta rap scene.

Stanfield, who will play Snoop Dogg in the upcoming film Straight Outta Compton, will be joined by Brian Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz, who have also be cast for the Glover project.

According to Deadline, Henry (HBO's Vice Principals) will portray Alfred Miles, the city's hot, "of-the-moment rapper who plans to capitalize on the sudden fame as quickly as possible," while Stanfield will play Darius, "Alfred’s oddly talented right-hand man and musical collaborator."

Beetz will play Van, a "pragmatist caught up in a complicated relationship with Earn (Glover) due to their daughter." As for Glover, his character is a "loner who left Atlanta only to return; now working an unglamorous job and barely getting by. When his cousin Alfred becomes Atlanta’s hot rapper, Earn sees an opportunity to manage Alfred’s career."
