After teasing a new comedy subscription service earlier this year, NBC will launch said platform, called Seeso, in beta mode this December, followed by an official debut in January.

Unveiled by the network Thursday, the ad-free service will cost only $3.99 and will be aimed at “comedy super fans," likely serving as an alternative for Netflix users constantly on the hunt for something funny.

At launch, Seeso will include complete seasons of NBC's most popular comedy properties: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live, Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Office (NBC's U.S. version and the BBC original) and a number of other shows.

Additionally, the service will feature a slew of original content, including live action-animated comedy HarmonQuest, from Community creator Dan Harmon; The UCB Show, which will be hosted by Upright Citizens Brigade founders Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh and others; reality show parody Bajillion Dollar Propertie$; dark family comedy Flowers; a handful of stand-up series and more.
