Touring on their thirteenth studio release, Bon Jovi opened with the title-track from the latest album, This House Is Not For Sale. Ironic, considering this would be last time a live event graced the environs of the Bradley Center. The home of the Milwaukee Bucks NBA franchise—and future entertainment events—will be moving next door to the modern and sleek Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center this summer.

Straight off their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last weekend in Cleveland, the rock icons assaulted Milwaukee on Sunday night. What ensued was a heavy dose of fan-favorite rock anthems that included “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Raise Your Hands” and breakout hit “Runaway.”

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi was his usual energetic and charismatic self. However, save for the soulful “Keep the Faith” and power-ballad “Bed of Roses,” where much of the near-capacity crowd took a breather, his voice was far from present. Rather, it was lost behind his bandmates and fervent sing-along that transpired for the nearly two-hour show.

From the moment the lights dimmed, Jon Bon Jovi and company cemented their place in history with a barrage of exclamation points from their multiplatinum career. While their nod into rock and roll eternity was a little late—a good decade from their eligibility—it was definitely well deserved.
