Only one month after The Neighbourhood released their surprise HARD EP, frontman Jesse Rutherford is back with new music of his own.

The singer on Friday released a new solo single called "Born to Be Blonde." The track arrived with accompanying video directed by Zack Sekuler which sees Rutherford ditching his familiar monochrome visuals for bright color. "I was born to be blonde, I'm a fucking icon," he proudly declares on the song.

Rutherford has made no secret of his plans to share additional material, saying last month after releasing HARD he has "so much music to show [fans]." He further added in a series of tweets: "I know I've been sketch. But this time I'm gonna treat you right. You deserve it. I genuinely appreciate you."
