Amidst all the spectacle of Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus returned with a timeless performance of her new single "Younger Now."

Joined by elderly backup dancers and children sitting on fake motorcycles, Cyrus knowingly ditched her wild past (her 2013 VMAs performance with Robin Thicke) and instead offered a tamer live show.

Perhaps one of the best moments was when the camera showed her father Billy Ray Cyrus singing along and smile. Miley had promised her dad earlier today she would be on her best behavior. And he seems to be especially supportive of the singer in her comeback.
