In one of the most stunning moments of this wild presidential election, Chance the Rapper on Monday led a crowd of fans to an early voting site in downtown Chicago.

As part of his #ParadetothePolls, organized by his nonprofit SocialWorks, Chance performed a free concert tonight in Grant Park before heading to a nearby early voting site, followed by hundreds—or possibly thousands—as he went in to vote.

While the lines to vote were already rather long, election officials had previously confirmed anyone on site by 7 p.m. would be still be provided a ballot.

Cook County (which includes Chicago) said pre-Election Day voting had reached 438,212 ballots as of 8 p.m. tonight, surpassing the 2012 record of 273,661 ballots. The state of Illinois has already topped previous elections with 1.3 million early in-person ballots cast just through Sunday night.
