After teasing an announcement coming Wednesday night, the Foo Fighters are addressing rumors the band is breaking up with a comedic video.

Further fueling speculation, Artisan News publishing a new interview with drummer Taylor Hawkins which was published this afternoon prior to the band's official "announcement."

"We’re on 'ihateus' right now," Hawkins said in the interview, referring to the group's hiatus. "We’re on an indefinite ihateus. But that's not because we don’t love each other or don’t want to make music together … We did so much in the last five or six years; we as a band could go into the studio tomorrow and have just as much fun as we ever had, but I think the world needs a break from us for a little while.”

Page Six on Monday reported Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is going solo and such a "break" is not all that amicable, although a rep for the band has called the report "utterly ridiculous."

In the video, Grohl pretends to be breaking away from the rest of the band, which leads the group to discuss possible replacement frontmen, such as Billy Corgan, Phil Collins and Justin Bieber.

Although the band is indeed on a hiatus, they make clear in the video they're not up. Watch it below.
