Scott Weiland, the 48-year-old former Stone Temple Pilots singer, has reportedly died.

He had been scheduled to perform in Minnesota on Thursday night, but TMZ reports that he was found dead on his tour bus shortly before the start of the show.

At press time, details of his death have not been confirmed. The singer had a history of substance abuse.

Update: A rep for the singer has confirmed he "passed away in his sleep."
