Lorde once again proved she can do just fine in the boys' club, performing as a lone female on a roster full of men on the season premiere of Later... with Jools Holland.

The singer, whose "Royals" has continually climbed the mainstream charts in the U.S. up to its No. 3 spot last week, has reigned atop the American Alternative Songs chart for a record-breaking six weeks. This past week, she passed Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" (five weeks) to become the longest-reigning female artist at the peak.

Her debut record, Pure Heroine, which is already one of the most-anticipated records of the fall, arrives on Sept. 30 via Lava/Republic.

On the same episode as the 16-year-old New Zealander was Kanye West, whose song, "Hold My Liquor," she previously covered live. Because the show airs in the U.K, the video is the best-quality clip available for the time being.
