'Family Guy' Trolls Kellyanne Conway for Emmys Campaign

Family Guy is going all in for its Emmys campaign, spoofing Kellyanne Conway and ensuring we'll be talking about the 2016 election until September.

In the animated comedy's for-your-consideration mailer, it takes a jab at itself while also blatantly taking aim at Donald Trump's counselor, with Peter Griffin impersonating Conway in the red, white and blue Gucci outfit she wore to the inauguration in January.

To further make its case, the ad text reads, “Alternative Fact: We are the smartest comedy on television,” a nod to Conway's reference to “alternative facts” in defending Sean Spicer's false claim of Trump having the largest inauguration audience ever.

As we previously reported, Conway—who has made a number of wildly absurd statements over the past year—also claimed back in February there had been more coverage of Prince's ("the artist named Prince") death in 2016 than of terrorist attacks.

This year's Emmy Award nominations will be revealed on July 13, with the ceremony hosted by Trump's favorite comedian Stephen Colbert on Sept. 17.
