After months of development and waiting, Zach Braff's comedy pilot has been picked up for series at ABC.

The network confirmed the pickup Thursday evening, coming just days before ABC's scheduled upfront presentation to advertisers next week.

As we previously reported, the untitled Braff project, formerly known as Startup, has been in the works since last summer.

It stars Braff as a radio journalist in his mid-30s with a wife and two kids who quits his job and sets out to open his own business. It's also a bit of reunion, as Scrubs co-executive producer Matt Tarses is writing the script and co-executive producing alongside Braff and Blumberg, among others.

ABC is expected to unveil its full fall slate on Tuesday.
