Donald Glover is working on an animated comedy series version of Deadpool for FXX.

The Atlanta star will write, executive produce and serve as showrunners for the show alongside his brother Stephen Glover. The 10-episode series is expected to arrive next year, with Marvel's Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory also on board as executive producers.

As we previously reported, Donald Glover recently expanded his relationship with FX Networks following the success of Atlanta, which is also expected to premiere its second season in 2018.

"Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta,” FX president of original programming Nick Grad said in a statement. "With the success of Legion, we’re looking forward to again partnering with Marvel Television to create a series that is bold, striking and entirely original."

While the character Deadpool has appeared in other animated TV series, his most popular appearance thus far has been in last year's box-office hit starring Ryan Reynolds. Atlanta co-star Zazie Beetz will actually be joining him as Domino in the upcoming sequel.
