It took just 20 days for Kendrick Lamar's new album DAMN. to go platinum.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the LP had shifted more than 1 million units in just under three weeks since its release on April 14. 

As we previously reported, DAMN. earned a massive 603,000 equivalent album units in its first week, nabbing the best sales week of 2017 so far. Last week, it logged 238,000 units for a second week at No. 1. It is likely to remain at the top of the charts for a third week, with some forecasts suggesting a possible 170,000 in week-three sales.
