Fleet Foxes have confirmed are one of the headliners of July's Newport Folk Festival, which will mark their first U.S. show in six years.

The Rhode Island fest has yet to announce its full lineup, outside of Fleet Foxes as the day one headliner on July 28. The festival takes place July 28-30 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, R.I.

As we previously reported, the band has been slowly adding a handful of live dates internationally, including performances at Vida Festival, Bilbao BBK Live, Iveagh Gardens in Dublin and most recently Turin's Piazza Castello.

Pecknold has been teasing their new album is done or nearly finished. And he promised Tuesday on Instagram, "songs soon!" The new record is one of Variance's 50 Albums to Watch for in 2017.
