Debbie Reynolds, the 84-year-old actress and mother of the late Carrie Fisher, was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

According to TMZ, Reynolds was at her son Todd Fisher's home in Beverly Hills when she suffered a medical emergency around 1 p.m. PST and was transported via ambulance to nearby Cedars-Sinai Hospital to be treated for a possible stroke.

The news comes just a day after the death of Carrie Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia in the Star Wars film franchise. She died of a heart attack.

A rep for Debbie Reynolds did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Update: Reynolds' son Todd has confirmed the actress-singer has died. “She wanted to be with Carrie,” he said in a statement released Wednesday evening.
