The Walking Dead will return for the second half of its seventh season on Feb. 12, AMC announced Monday.

The news comes just hours after the network aired the mid-season finale, which saw a reunion of sorts as a reinvigorated Rick and the gang came back together after a bruising first half since the show's October premiere.

In addition to very trying times within the Dead world, ratings have also been cooling, with the zombie thriller averaging 12.1 million viewers and a 5.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic, compared to 13.2 million and 6.5 last season. Its Nov. 27 episode was also its lowest-rated in four years.

As in past years, The Walking Dead's February premiere will once again be opposite the Grammy Awards on CBS.
