Mere days since the release of his new album Starboy, The Weeknd has already broken a Spotify record for most streams in a single day.

The streaming platform confirmed the news Tuesday, with the singer's label issuing a subsequent statement to celebrate. Republic Records Chairman and Co-Founder Monte Lipman declared: “Spotify’s continued support of The Weeknd has now reached historic proportions and also reinforces the tremendous growth of global streaming."

While Spotify did not immediately release the record-breaking total of streams, all 18 songs off Starboy were on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart as of Tuesday.
