Halsey got some pushback on Saturday when she celebrated The Weeknd's album release on Facebook and declared, "Big love to the most important artist of our generation."

Alongside her note, she shared a link to her own Spotify playlist including the songs "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming," featuring Daft Punk, both of which appear on The Weeknd's newly released album Starboy.

Not surprisingly, many of Halsey's fans didn't agree with the singer's assessment.

"The most important artist? No thanks. I'm good," one fan responded, with another insisting: "DELETE IT BALD QUEEN." However, one person brought the temperature back down, adding, "Why do y'all take everything so seriously? Yes, her statement is a far fetch [sic] but relax."

It's worth noting, The Weeknd invited Halsey to open for his tour last year, therefore contributing to her steady rise.
