After bringing high ratings to Saturday Night Live earlier this month, Dave Chappelle is joining forces with Netflix.

The comedian will release three comedy specials next year, the streaming platform confirmed today.

According to Netflix, director Stan Lathan will produce a full, original stand-up comedy special, which will premiere alongside two previously unseen shows from Chappelle's “personal vault." Those shows were filmed at Austin City Limits and The Hollywood Palladium.

“Dave Chappelle is a legendary voice in comedy — searing, vital, and now more than ever, essential,” said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s vice-president of original documentary and comedy, in a statement. “Dave’s three new specials promise to be some of the most anticipated events in comedy, and we are honored he will mark his global return on Netflix.”

The comedy specials will mark Chappelle's first in 12 years. They will all be released simultaneously, on a date yet to be announced.
