Kanye West told fans at his show in San Jose he didn't vote in last week's U.S. election, but he "would have voted on Trump."
A majority of the audience began to boo the rapper, but in fan-captured video, at least one person is heard applauding the emcee for his decision.
West's support for the Republican President-elect is particularly interesting, given his denouncement of then-President George W. Bush after Hurricane Katrina in 2005: "George Bush doesn't care about black people," he said during a telethon to raise money for storm recovery.
The rapper went on to say he's "glad Trump inspired racists to reveal themselves," noting that he's still considering his own run for president in 2020. The extended version of his comments can be seen here.

As a committed fan of Kanye West for more than 10 years... I can truly say the Kanye I admired years ago is no longer this years Kanye.
