Lil Wayne says he doesn't feel "connected" to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Speaking with ABC's Nightline on Tuesday night, the emcee told reporter Linsey Davis: "I don't feel connected to a damn thing that ain't got nothing to do with me ... If you do, you crazy as shit," he said, pointing at Davis, who is also black.

Although he acknowledged unarmed black men had been killed by police for "fucked up" reasons, when Davis attempted to clarify why some had rallied behind Black Lives Matter, Wayne insisted, "I am a young, black rich motherfucker. If that don't let you know that America understands black niggas fucking matter these days, I don't know what it is."

He went on to call out the nearby cameraman, who was apparently white. "That man white; he filmin' me," he said as he became visibly hostile. "I'm a nigga. I don't know what you mean, man. Don't come at me with that dumb shit, ma'am."

The rapper drew criticism in September during a Fox Sports appearance with Skip Bayless in which he said there was "no such thing as racism," adding: "My crowd has always been everybody."

Update: Lil Wayne told TMZ on Wednesday he was offended by questions about his daughter, which prompted his acidic interviews responses. "When the reporter began asking me questions about my daughter being labeled a bitch and a hoe, I got agitated," he said. "From there, there was no thought put into [Davis's] questions and my responses … Apologies to anyone who was offended."
