TBS is helping Tracy Morgan make his return to television, as the network has picked up a new comedy starring the 30 Rock alum.

The network announced Monday it has ordered 10 episodes of the untitled single-camera project, which was created by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, both of whom will also executive produce the series.

In the new comedy, Morgan will play a man who has just been released from prison after 15 years. He returns to his now-gentrified Brooklyn neighborhood and learns his ex-girlfriend has married a successful white man, and they are raising his twin sons he never knew about. That prompts Morgan's character to resort to some old prison skills, of which are not exactly clear.

The Morgan project had initially been in development at FX, but the network ultimately passed on pursuing it any further.

This will mark the actor's first regular role since 30 Rock's finale and the 2014 car accident that left him in a coma.
