Kid Cudi said Thursday night his new album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ will not arrive Friday as planned.

While he had only announced the release date earlier this week, he said tonight the album was being unexpectedly delayed "due to some minor sample clearances" which caused his team to "miss our deadline for tonight's release."

As a consolation, the MC promised to release two tracks from the album, "Frequency" and "Surfin'," within the next 48 hours. "I'll have more concrete info for you about the singles releasing and the album tomorrow," he said.

The forthcoming set includes guest appearances from André 3000, Travis Scott, Pharrell and Willow Smith.
