Coming off a very strong year, it appears Sarah Paulson may be on to her biggest role yet, the final lead in Ocean's Eight, the upcoming female-led spinoff of Ocean's Eleven.

According to Deadline, Paulson is in early discussions to join the flick, which already has seven of its eight stars in Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina.

Paulson has become a marquee name for FX, where she's consistently been one of the leads in Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story series and she is nominated for an Emmy for playing Marcia Clark in The People Vs OJ Simpson. She's also set to appear in Murphy's upcoming anthology series Feud, also for FX.

As we previously reported, Ocean's Eight is expected to begin production as soon as October, with Gary Ross directing and co-writing alongside Olivia Milch. It is being produced by Ocean’s Eleven director Steven Soderbergh.
