The latest chapter in the Mysteries of Taylor Swift suggests the singer may have previously lied about not approving Kanye West's "Famous" before the song's release.

After suggesting in a recent interview she had proof Swift signed off, West's wife Kim Kardashian said on Sunday's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, "I never talk shit about anyone publicly, especially in interviews. But I was just like—I had so had it. I just felt like I wanted to defend him."

Following tonight's show, Kardashian took to Snapchat and revealed video footage of West rapping the lyrics for Swift on the phone, prompting the "Bad Blood" star to declare: "It's like a compliment, kind of ... Yeah, I mean, what's dope about the line is it's very tongue-in-cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it; that's really nice.”

For his part, Ye tells Swift on the call he “just had a responsibility to you as a friend ... thanks for being so cool about it,” to which Swift responds: “For you to ask me if I'd be okay with it, I really appreciate it. I'd never expect you to tell me about a line in your song." West concludes by saying, “Relationships are more important than punchlines."

When "Famous" was released earlier this year, it included the words, "Feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.” Swift's spokesperson immediately said she was never consulted but blasted West for "releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.”

In addition to denying approval of the song, Swift seemed to take a dig at West and "Famous" when she accepted the Album of the Year award at the Grammys.

"There are going to be people along the way who try to undercut down your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame," Swift said in her speech, seemingly portraying her spat with West from a victim's perspective. "But if you just focus on the work ... someday when you get where you're going ... you will know it was you and the people who love you who put you there."

Kardashian's big reveal comes just days after Swift's ex Calvin Harris blasted the singer when she revealed she secretly co-wrote his hit "This Is What You Came For," further slamming her for using her celebrity wattage and other unnamed tactics to tear him down and "bury" him like she's done with Katy Perry, essentially confirming Swift's rumored bitter feud with her fellow pop star.

Update: Taylor Swift has responded rather swiftly with a post on Instagram, insisting she was never made aware of the words "that bitch" being included in the lyrics for "Famous" and thus did give approval for the final track, asserting that any claims otherwise are simply "character assassination." She goes on to say: "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009."
