USA Network has upped the forthcoming second season of Mr. Robot from 10 episodes to 12, the network announced Thursday.

Additionally, the season premiere, set for July 13 at 10 p.m. EST, has been extended to two hours, with a live after-show called Hacking Robot debuting immediately afterward.

“The first season of Mr. Robot was everything we hoped for – and then some,” NBCUniversal's president of entertainment networks, Chris McCumber, said in a statement. “So it’s no surprise that [creator Sam Esmail] and team have raised the bar even more in Season 2. From the first moments of the new season, it’ll be clear that audiences are in for something incredibly special and wholly unexpected.”

All 12 episodes of the new season will be directed by Esmail.
