Donald Trump Less Popular Than Nickelback, Hipsters, Jury Duty + Lice, According to New Poll

Nickelback and jury duty are viewed more favorably by registered voters than Donald Trump, according to the results of a new Public Policy Polling poll out Monday evening.

The PPP poll also found other polarizing items such as head lice, hipsters, root canals, the DMV and used car salesmen led the reality television star, who is now the Republican party's presumptive presidential nominee, as is proudly displayed on Trump's Twitter page.

The numbers were revealed tonight by MSNBC, and as host Rachel Maddow pointed out, Nickelback and hipsters only lead by single digits. But to Trump's credit, he is still more popular than cockroaches (46% to 42%) and hemorrhoids (45% to 39%), although narrowly.

Among only female voters, however, cockroaches lead 45% to 40% and hemorrhoids are ahead by one point at 42%.

While Trump followers might be quick to dismiss the results of this latest poll, it's worth noting all three remaining presidential candidates are viewed more unfavorably than favorably among registered voters, although Trump's negatives are much higher at 61% to Hillary Clinton's 55% and Bernie Sanders' 46%.

Ironically, this isn't the first time PPP has polled American voters on the favorability of Trump, lice and Nickelback. In 2013, the group found all three of the aforementioned were more popular than Congress.

The downside, perhaps, is that Nickelback and jury duty won't be on the ballot in November.
