Miley Cyrus Nabs No. 1 Album & Song in U.K., Expected to Top U.S. Charts

Miley Cyrus has become the first act to claim the No. 1 song and album at the same time in the U.K., as "Wrecking Ball" and Bangerz have topped their respective charts as of Sunday.

On the song charts, the singer faced fierce competition from Eminem's newest entry "Berzerk." Meanwhile, the top 10 albums include LPs from acts such Arctic Monkeys, Haim and Justin Timberlake, all of which are holdovers from previous weeks.

In the U.S., Cyrus is expected to easily claim the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 on this week's new charts. According to industry insiders, Bangerz is expected to sell more than 250,000 copies by the end of the tracking week Sunday night (Oct. 13). The final numbers will be revealed by Nielsen SoundScan this Wednesday.
