At last, we know Chelsea Handler's next move.

After announcing plans to end her Chelsea Lately program on E! this August, Handler is heading to Netflix to launch another talk show come early 2016.

It's an unprecedented move for both parties, as it will mark unfamiliar territory for the streaming service, which has until now been making a brash—and successful—move into scripted programming (House of Cards, Orange Is the New Black). But it's also big for Handler, who had previously been rumored to simply move to another traditional network, like ABC or CBS.

"The Internet has disrupted many of the conventions of traditional television and together with Chelsea Handler, Netflix is looking forward to reimagining the late night talk show for the on-demand generation, starting with the late night part," said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos in a statement released on Thursday.

In addition to the talk show, Handler will also create a standup special, which will arrive Oct. 10 on Netflix.
