Update (Aug. 25, 4:30 p.m. ET): Twitter has revealed the biggest moments from Sunday's telecast. Miley Cyrus' Video of the Year win was the most-tweeted segment, with 138,792 tweets per minute . Beyoncé's performance garnered 97,153 per minute; however, her performance alone lasted 16 minutes. Cyrus' controversial performance at the 2013 VMAs was also last year's most-tweeted moment, with 306,100 tweets per minute. In all, there were 12.6 million VMA-related tweets.

The MTV VMAs are airing Sunday night, live from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
