This year's Mercury Prize nominees have been announced.

Among those receiving nods for the U.K.'s best album are Damon Albarn, FKA twigs, Jungle, Royal Blood, Bombay Bicycle Club and more.

Last year's winner was James Blake's Overgrown, which was also Variance's 2013 Album of the Year. Alt-J's An Awesome Wave won in 2012.

This year's Mercury Prize winner is set to be revealed on Oct. 29.
