Funkmaster Flex Says JAY Z Needs to Congratulate J. Cole, Mocks His Laugh

JAY Z is reportedly in talks to buy New York's Hot 97 radio station. But that's not sitting well with all involved.

MediaTakeOut.com claims Mr. Carter and a group which includes New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony are currently in negotiations to acquire the hip-hop station, per an unnamed, "rock solid source."

These reports likely have something to do with Jay's recent and ongoing dispute with the station's DJ Funkmaster Flex, who shot back: "We good over here! They not buying shit!”

In addition to calling JAY Z a "commercial, corporate rapper that drops a little catchphrase every three months," he took issue with the MC harassing him via text message before slamming Beyoncé's husband for his lack of support for J. Cole, who is signed to Roc Nation and debuted at No. 1 with last month's unexpected release 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

"Why don't you at some time congratulate J. Cole for that 300,000 he shot out?" Flex said during an epic on-air rant. "And stop acting like that album don't exist?"

Additionally, the DJ went on to proclaim JAY Z's "dumb laugh" is not real. "That laugh is disrespect," he said. "I take that laugh as disrespect. And people he does it to, you should take it as that too. That's some clown-like—he's clowning you."
