2015 Juno Award Nominations Revealed

The nominations for this year's Juno Awards—the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys—were revealed on Tuesday.

Leading the pack with five nods is Toronto's Magic!, largely because of their stubborn single "Rude," which is taking on Drake's "Hold On (We're Going Home)" and Kiesza's "Hideaway" for Single of the Year. The band is also up for Breakthrough Group of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

Kiesza herself is up for four awards, as is Leonard Cohen. Meanwhile, Chromeo will compete against the likes of Nickelback for Group of the Year.

The Weeknd, deadmau5, You + Me (P!nk and City & Colour, the latter of whom is Canadian), Arcade Fire, Alvvays, Mac DeMarco, Ben Stevenson, P Reign and Caribou are also among the Canadian nominees.

Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour, Lorde's Pure Heroine, Katy Perry's Prism, Taylor Swift's 1989 and One Direction's Midnight Memories are up for International Album of the Year.

The Juno Awards are set to take place March 15 in Hamilton, Ontario.
