HBO's long-awaited standalone streaming service HBO Now will launch exclusively next month on Apple TV for a monthly price tag of $14.99, allowing fans of Game of Thrones and True Detective to view content legally without a cable subscription.

Apple announced the partnership on Monday during its much-hyped series of announcements, in which it is also expected to reveal details of the Apple Watch.

HBO subsequently confirmed in a press release the company will offer new HBO Now subscribers a 30-day introductory free trial period. Apple TV will also drop from $99 to $69.
