Following premieres of their new seasons on Sunday, HBO has renewed Silicon Valley and Veep for a third and fifth season, respectively.

Buzz for both shows had been building significantly going into the new seasons, especially with the launch of HBO Now, which allows non-cable subscribers to access the premium network's live content.

"Veep and Silicon Valley are terrific series, and I’m immensely proud that they will return to HBO next year,” the network's president of original programming Michael Lombardo said in a statement, adding that along with Game of Thrones and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, "they give HBO a stellar Sunday night like no other.”

HBO has yet to reveal the specific premier ratings for either shows.
