The ongoing battle between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records might be more serious than anyone suspected, as new details suggest Cash Money head Bryan Williams (aka Birdman) and his associate Jeffery Williams (aka Young Thug) may be linked to an attempt to kill Wayne.

Young Thug's manager Jimmy Winfrey was arrested in May in connection to shots fired at Lil Wayne's tour bus earlier this year. WSB-TV’s Mike Petchenik reported Wednesday that Birdman and Young Thug are now accused of being part of a murder plot, helmed by Winfrey.

Although Young Thug nor Birdman have been charged, Petchenik points out that an indictment against Winfrey alleges that all four men (including Lil Wayne) are affiliated with the Bloods street gang.

Additionally, Young Thug’s "Halftime" video is considered evidence because of references to Lil Wayne, with prosecutors also pointing to included footage of Winfrey holding an assault weapon during said video.
