Cyrus caused a stir at the 2013 VMAs when she performed a mashup of “We Can’t Stop" and “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke. She's also currently working on a new album, which could arrive later this year.

The VMAs nominations will be revealed Tuesday on Beats 1, while the show itself is set for Aug. 30 at 9 p.m., airing live on MTV from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater.
