While details surrounding an anticipated fifth season of Arrested Development are still hazy, Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos says they're "still plugging along."

Speaking at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Pasadena on Tuesday, Sarandos said "it is our intent to have a new season. All the negotiations are underway," he said, noting that it's "a long, complex deal ... the [actors are] very busy."

Arrested producer Brian Grazer said earlier this year that he hoped to begin production on season five by next January, suggesting "another 17 episodes" was part of the plan.
