Days after being confirmed as one of the first musical guests of Saturday Night Live's upcoming 41st season, The Weeknd can now celebrate his first No. 1 album.

His latest LP, Beauty Behind the Madness, exceeded last week's insider predictions of 350,000 units and moved 412,000 equivalent album copies, giving the singer the first chart-topping album of his career, only weeks after nabbing his first No. 1 song with "Can't Feel My Face," which is Variance's 2015 Song of Summer.

Beauty is the second-highest debut of the year, behind only Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late, which opened earlier this year with 535,000 units.

Halsey, one of The Weeknd's tour openers for his upcoming fall trek, starts at No. 2, with her debut album Badlands, which moved 115,000 equivalent album units.
