In the wake of Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris, a number of acts have scrapped performances in France and throughout Europe.

Foo Fighters have confirmed their upcoming European leg, which included two shows scheduled in France, has been canceled. “In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can’t continue right now,” the band said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one.”

Deftones had a show scheduled for this coming Monday at the Bataclan theatre in Paris, the same venue attacked on Friday. Following last night's events, the band has confirmed they will no longer perform.

U2 has also canceled a two-night stint at Paris' AccorHotels Arena on Saturday and Sunday. The performances were part of an upcoming HBO special, which has now been postponed.

"We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans," U2 said in a statement. "And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe."

Rising songstress Låpsley has also canceled her show scheduled for Saturday night in Paris.
